Pastor Gary Axtell is our pastor and was previously a concrete contractor in West Palm Beach, Fla. for eighteen years. God moved in his heart to become a pastor and to preach God's Word. Gina and Gary sold their share of Axtell Const. and their home in West Palm to enable Gary to return to college at the age of forty-six and to get a B.S. Degree at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Mo. Pastor Gary began his ministry at Mark Baptist on 9/11/05. Mark is his first pastorate. Pastor Gary's wife, Gina, assists in ministry in many ways. Pastor Gary and Gina have three grown children and five grandchildren. They are entering their sixth year at Mark Baptist Church, which has seen a great deal of growth during that time.

God has worked in us and enabled us to remodel the auditorium and add more seating, enlarge the parking lots, open up new classrooms, add a children's ministry on Wednesday evenings, and welcome many new faces.  We welcome anyone to come and join us to learn more about God, gain a closer relationship with Him, and fellowship with other believers who want the same. We have received many blessings from God and give Him all the credit for the wonderful things that are happening here.

The congregation is raising the funds necessary to build a new 5700 sq. ft. addition onto our existing structure. The addition was approved unanimously in March of 2010 and we are hoping to break ground in the spring of 2011.

Mark Baptist Church offers Bible based preaching and life application. Adult studies are offered as well as studies for teens and children.  We have a beautiful facility located on seven acres in the country but right on the highway. Our congregation is dedicated to spiritual growth by focusing:
